New Year, Who Dis?

My mom told me that the first year of a babies' life is one of the most important years simply because of the mass of knowledge that you gain within those first 12 months out the womb. When you think about it you literally went from swimming around inside of your mom to a year later running around destroying her house lol. The progress that you made in your human development was rapid but steady so eventually you hit milestones of progression. Each year of your life you should continuously be learning new things about yourself and the world around you. 

Fast forward to my 20's I feel like these are the developmental stages of me learning who I am. When I was a child I had to learn about the world around me so I could understand how to live in it. As a young adult I feel that I need to understand who I am so I can choose to live the way that is the befitting of my spirit. Our consciousness is connected to our happiness, meaning that we can choose to be happy and I feel now more than ever is a time that I'm learning what makes me truly happy. Understanding myself, the way I do things, and just being comfortable with the decisions that I make in my life was on my checklist for this year and I'm still not complete with that journey. I don't mind putting in the work to be a better me WE ALL STARTED SOMEWHERE Especially THE GREATS!

 Work on one thing at a time [MAJOR KEY], you can't expect your mind to work as quickly as it did the first the year. 

When you first were born into this world information was thrown at you steadily and everything was new so you're mind had to develop quickly and just as rapidly as the information hit it. Now that you've come to your later years information is not hitting you as rapidly as it used to, all is not new so you're mine hasn't had to work as fast in a very long time. Take that in consideration when you're really trying to develop yourself. Work on one thing at a time so that way it's a solid gain before you move onto the next stage. I recently lost a lot of weight and it taught me to be patient and stay committed. I noticed whenever I wanted to rush things the weight never stayed off but when I took it day by day my weight-loss was more permanent and eventually it became a significant amount lost. Sometimes we have to just focus all of our energy on A and then move onto B & C.

Take this new year as a year to complete a step in your process. Allow 2017 to see the best you that you have to offer and continue to build on that positive Energy. Realize that you are not alone in this journey because we've all come so far past the first year but most of us still have so much more to learn. Cherish the knowledge that you have and show yourself appreciation in 2017. Learn to love yourself and cater to you and your needs while continuing to show love to your fellow human ❤ HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Growing up a part of the social media generation is a gift and a curse simply because it makes us so easily accessible to one another. In many instances social media can be a great business tool, we are able to connect to people, places and things we may not have been able to reach as easily prior too but when these media outlets are used in the most RATCHET way possible to display stupid shit it’s really a waste. What is the point of having followers if they don’t support you? What is the point of following someone that dose nothing for you? Rather than worrying about who you’re planning to cut off in 2016 try thinking about the people who will help you get to where you need to be this year. We may all have different dreams but at the end of the day the goal is the same TO WIN! If we can support each other we can grow together. 90z Heatwave

As the weather undergoes it's annual  metamorphosis, we as humans naturally adapt to these changes. The sun begins to beam very frequently, sweat becomes the new daily accessory, and ice cream is always on the menu lol. I say all this to say SUMMER IS APPROACHING and its time to once again get your summer gear together! This summer I feel we need to all take a trip back in time to the 90's Urban America Summer. I will lead this movement of poetic justice braids, buckets, ball caps, jellies, baseball jerseys and EVERYTHING ELSE 90's this summer.

Nothing to me was more fun and expressive then 80's/90's fashions and trends. Since I was not born until 1993 I got to see a little bit of the fashions of the time but never honestly got to gain understanding until the time had past so I WANT TO GO BACK! Lets go back in time and live our young adulthood in the 90's. Lets adapt 90's fashion as if it where apart of our modern day trends. IT'S THE 90'z HEATWAVE! I need a break from 2015 and all of its follow the leader trends. I NEED COLOR, FLARE AND CREATIVITY so lets go back in time.

WAVE OF COLOR: Its time to say FUCK NUDES 2015 & Brighten this summer up! The 90's was known for its uniquely fun and colorful fashion pallets. Summer is the season of everything Bright and Sunny so our clothing should definitely reflect that.

WAVE OF HIP HOP: Anyone who is a true lover of Hip Hop understands it is not just a genre of music, it is an entire culture with it's own language, clothing, and style. It seems in 2015 we have been strayed away from Hip Hop culture and Urban fashions completely. High end labels a.k.a "Culture Vultures" have crucified the Urban fashion industry ultimately leaving the US, the consumer no choice but to comply with these standards of fashion. They craziest part is they have borrowed bits and pieces of the fashions they have destroyed, wrapped it up in a new label and call it original!  I say lets TAKE FASHION BACK IN TIME. Dust off your ball caps, gold jewelry and jerseys for old time sake and lets get the Heatwave in motion.

WAVE OF INDIVIDUALITY: Have you ever noticed how some people want to look so different, sound so unique and maintain their individuality but they end up all having the exact same vibe. In 2015 everyone must try to fit the mold to be considered "Hot". You can see this most clearly in the music of today. Is it me or does almost every song sound exactly the same? Its almost impossible to distinguish one artist from the next and subsequently we in-turn have adapted these habits with our lifestyles. EVERYONE must have this pair of shoes, this type of dress, hair from this part of Brazil or whatever hair color Rihanna has chosen this week lol. The 90's had so many different sounds from so MANY different people that there was enough HEAT to go around.

I'm ready to relive the 90's and enjoy the decade of my birth even in 2015 who's with me?

Beauty comes in ALL Shapes and sizes because our Creator knew we would all have different attractions. Love and preference are something that absolutely no can choose for you. Use your own mind!

The seasons have changed & so should your wardrobe! Fall is finally here and the fashion scene is new and hotter then ever. The Reign of the beloved UGG Boot is OVER!!! This fall is all about not having any limits or boundaries. Fall is all about Rich colors, Patterns, & Layering different textures to create a completely unique outfit. With all the options out there the combinations in your Fall 2014 wardrobe can be endless. Here are just a few of my favorite Fall Fashion elements that will add that Uniqueness to any Autumn fit.

Lets Take it back, wayyyy back to 1975 when the heals where just has high as the Afros. My latest fall obsession is defiantly platform boots! LAYERS!
Layers are one of my favorite fall trends, because I can never decide what to wear but layering gives you free range to wear more than one piece at once lol. When I layer my outfits in the fall and winter it gives me the option to wear MULTIPLE prints at one time & this contrast to the eye makes for a fly fall outfit while still keeping you warm. Try layering Fur or Fo-Fur, Plaid and Leather together to recreate think Awesome Autumn look!

STOCKINGS!

Another Fall must have is defiantly Stockings and other forms of hosiery. Adding a pop of color to any classic fit is the goal of stockings this fall. Turning an ordinary outfit into a fly ensemble by adding a colorful pair of tights ensures ultimate  comfort, warm legs and just a touch of class to a shorter fall dress. If you love skirts in the fall also experiment with thigh & Knee high stockings for a sexy Autumn look. Pussy On A Pedestal

Although we toast to 2014, the brand new year has yet to change many people's out dated perceptions of the female species. Women were never meant to be placed in a box behind a man,but socially we are expected take the back seat to our masculine counterparts. Why Is That?

Who do we blame for these misogynistic ideals? Some say the media's portrayal of women is to blame. I believe the wide spread coverage and misleading images of femininity on television, and music can only effect those that are ignorant to the matter. The picture perfect “Leave it to Beaver” perception of the idealistic American family has been an image inscribed into our minds for decades. The structured home with a male dominant as the sole provider for the household has changed dramatically over the past decades. Truth be told, there are just as many single women in the country who hold down the fort just as well; if not better than a man could.The media’s stereotypes of women may have a direct effect on the minds of the American public, but we don’t have to let it effect us on an individual level. The barrios of gender are drawn in the sands of society’s beach but will wash away with the sea of knowledge.

Women are often looked at to be only as valuable as their physical assets. Our mental capacity can be overlooked and ignored depending on how cute we are or how well we know how to shake our asses. Some men will even refer to a women by referencing her genitals. One of the more "Interesting" statements I've heard from a young man was "You can never give the BOX too much credit". If you didn't already know, BOX is used as a slang term for vagina. The Box, The Pussy, The Female, The Woman...These are all phrases that are used interchangeably throughout a plethora of peoples conversations. Phrases such as these can consume the minds of the male species, allowing them to relay back to misogynistic values.

Some guys will put women's pussy on a pedestal before they even get to know her personally. Oh the great lengths men have gone through just to have sex with a women they barely even knew. My question is this.....If women can have "control" over man with just the mere use of our physical assets just imagine if we put our words and minds into effect.....WE COULD DOMINATE THE ENTIRE MALE SPECIES! 

There is so much power in the X chromosome, that's why men are only allowed to have one. That's just a joke. I'm actually not just some man hating women, I love men!!! especially the Good ones, but I just hope for the day when we are looked at as mental equals instead of always being in a constant "Battle of the Sexes". Let me be your counterpart and not your second in command. Own your intelligence because eventually your pussy will slowly fall off the pedestal.

YUMMY: Spinach Quiche

One of my favorite fall foods has to be Quiche! Its great for breakfast brunch and even dinner a truly all purpose food. Its simple to make and you can put whatever you wan in it honestly. This Quiche recipe is one of my favorites I got from Allrecipes.com . It is perfect if your entertaining guests or for you and your family.

Ingredients: (You can add or remove ingredients according to your own personal taste!)

• 1/2 cup butter
• 3 cloves garlic, chopped
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
• 1 (4.5 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
• 1 (6 ounce) package herb and garlic feta, crumbled
• 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
• salt and pepper to taste
• 1 (9 inch) unbaked deep dish pie crust
• 4 eggs, beaten
• 1 cup milk
• salt and pepper to taste

Directions: (Takes about an Hour)

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2. In a medium skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Saute garlic and onion in butter until lightly browned, about 7 minutes. Stir in spinach, mushrooms, feta and 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon mixture into pie crust.
3. In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Pour into the pastry shell, allowing egg mixture to thoroughly combine with spinach mixture.
4. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Sprinkle top with remaining Cheddar cheese, and bake an additional 35 to 40 minutes, until set in center. Allow to stand 10 minutes before serving.
